About Rooberry PBIS

Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) is a systemic approach to teaching and acknowledging positive student behaviors in schools. Schools that excel using PBIS-related systems define a common language of positive behaviors for their schools. All school personnel teach, acknowledge, and correct behavior using a common language. Teachers use simple tools to acknowledge positive behavior and monitor negative behaviors. When students pass predefined thresholds of negative behaviors, personnel immediately put them into a new intervention group under and response to intervention framework. The process of behavior improvement is data-driven, and personnel regularily use behavior records to make decisions about how best to improve the school climate.

Rooberry PBIS is a web-based application to track key information about student behavior problems. Using a less is more philosophy, we have designed the data-entry to be simple and intelligent and the report summaries to be clear and easy-to-understand. Our ajax-lite approach to software development allows our software to work better on new platforms, but degrade well for older browsers as well.

Data-entry

Getting information into any system is always the most troublesome part of using a new student system. Our system is designed to be simple and smart. We track the following key variables: student, referring-teacher, incident-type, location, date/time, and general description (not required, but recommended). The student name field intelligently guesses names based on past discipline records. Most other fields can be clicked or selected.

Report Summary

There are a few key reports that can readily be used in PBIS intervention planning. All reports can be run with reduced date ranges.

Individual Student Summary - A simple record of all behavior incidents by student name.
Recidivism Summary - Bar graph showing the total number of students with one or more behavior incidents.
Incident Summary - Bar graph showing the total number of incidents of each major behavior type.
Location Summary - Bar graph displaying number of incidents by school location. Use this graph when making decisions about changes to school wide interventions.
Datetime-based summaries
- Month Summary - View changes to student behaviors by month. Incidents should decline year over year and month over month.
- Day of the Week Summary - View changes to student behaviors by the day of the week.
- Time Summary - View changes to student behavior by time during the day.
Teacher Referral Summary (Group) - Bar graph showing the total number of referral incidents by teacher.

Pricing

WE ARE STILL IN BETA DEVELOPMENT. IF YOU'D LIKE AN EARLY PEEK, SEND US AN EMAIL.

Individual Accounts cost $10/year for teachers and sign-up is free. We encourage individual teachers and small groups of teachers to use our software before implementing it as a school. We want to make it cost effective for teachers to use.

Group accounts are charged by the school at a rate of $200/year for individual schools of any size.
